To expedite your pickup, please ensure you have all required documents ready, including a valid driver’s license, a credit card in the renter’s name, and—if self-insuring—proof of personal U.S.-issued insurance under your name that includes transferable collision, comprehensive, and liability coverage (bodily injury and property damage). Economy Rent a Car does not accept commercial or international insurance policies—including Canadian—for self-insurance purposes. Customers residing outside the U.S. who decline our Loss Damage Waiver (LDW) must purchase Glass and Tire Protection (GTP), Handling Insurance Fee (HIF), and Loss of Use (LOU), unless their insurance explicitly covers LOU. Local renter restrictions apply, for all one-day rentals, customers are required to provide proof of valid full coverage automobile insurance in their name, including collision, comprehensive, and liability coverage for both property damage and bodily injury. Please note that Economy Rent a Car does not offer or sell insurance coverage for one-day rentals. In addition, all one-day rentals require the purchase of HIF, LOU, and GTP protection products. A security deposit of up to $2,000 will also be required at the time of rental, depending on the vehicle class, rental qualifications, and verification requirements. Failure to provide acceptable proof of insurance or meet these requirements may result in the rental being declined. When you arrive though Terminal 1 baggage claim area proceeds to the car rental center via pedestrian crosswalk and follows signs for "Offsite Rental Car and County bus". Proceed to Bus Stop G and await our courtesy bus. From Terminal 2, 3 and 4: Please take the Airport shuttle to the Rental Car Center. Once there, please follow the signs for "Offsite Rental Car and County bus". Proceed to Bus Stop G and wait for our courtesy shuttle bus. For any further assistance please call (954) 684-9030.
